After Al Pacino encites the crowd to in Dog Day Afternoon. To know why check out what the cops did in Attica prison to the protesters in the Attica Prison riots in September 1971.
from Wikipedia:
In the 1975 film Dog Day Afternoon, Al Pacino's character, Sonny, who is holding eight bank employees hostage, starts a chant of "Attica! Attica!" at the massed police outside. Many more pop culture references stem from this scene than from the event itself. For example, in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever Tony Manero, played by John Travolta, repeats Pacino's "Attica! Attica!" line.
