When it inspires a good poem or song. When it is the sign you need to tell you you've made a mistake & need to make a change. Any negative emotion can be used as a tool to do something positive about it. Whether it's anger, sorrow, disappointment or whatever, it's a sign that something is wrong, your needs aren't being met. So do something about it. Instead of wallowing in bad feelings, take concrete steps to make the situation better. Use your emotions as a guide. Just remember that you are not a helpless victim. You are in control of your life & you can choose to make it better.

When you finally recognize from experiencing it often enough that it is created by your own misunderstanding and delusion. To become upset when your hopes and desires are not fulfilled, as opposed to merely accepting such in a gracious way, and as being "not personal", is a sure ticket to endless drama and pain.
