who is mad that sanjaya is staying for american idol?
personally, i think he is awful and i hate him. he needs to go! he is awful and everyone knows it! why is america voting for him??

I don't understand why many people keep blaming Sanjaya for staying on in the show. It's really not as if he's the one who is kicking out all the other good singers,it's the voters who are doing it. All he does is sing & smile & perhaps change his hairstyle every week.
Can't you see how shocked he is when other good singers are voted off instead of him? Can't you see he feels bad about it? He knows it's a singing competition and it is pretty obvious that he feels sad when a better singer is voted off. Are you blind to not see that? Are you that thick to believe that he is the one who is kicking them off?
It is the voters who are to blame. The voters are keeping him in.
As for those wierd theories about people in India voting for Sanjaya, simple logic will tell you that the whole idea is ridiculous. While he may be Indian, the people in India are neither rich enough nor do they even care about American Idol. There are so many music talent shows based in India (like Indian Idol) for them to pay attention to that American Idol is hardly given any importance in a country like India. Furthermore, the cost of an overseas text message would cost the average person in India their week's salary or even a month's salary for many others. Why would they waste so much money on some unknown American who just so happens to be of Indian origin (well, to be specific, he is only half-Indian, the other half of him is Caucasian)? They have a family to feed and bills to pay. Do remember that India still is a third-world country and the Indian rupee is way way behind the American dollar.
Finally, as American Idol is a singing competition, it may be fair to say that Sanjaya shouldn't be here. He may not be as good a singer as, say, Sundance, but the fact is that America voted him in. There's no point being angry at Sanjaya when all he did was sing, as a contestant in American Idol is required to do. Saying all that negative stuff about Sanjaya isn't going to improve the situation.
I do agree that Sanjaya should have been voted off a long time ago. But I don't blame Sanjaya, I blame the people who voted for him.
(Personally, I like Phil Stacy & Melinda-- I think they rock!).

I'm very upset! I kinda had a feeling Brandon would be in the bottom three but I definitely thought that Sanjaya was going home. He should've been gone a long time ago.

The show may say that its ALL the public....but they have a say anyways...
They keep him on there for a reason.
I can't imagine that America is that deaf.
Sundance should have made it on...and Sanjaya should have been gone WAY BEFORE THIS

Deal with it. Sanjaya is the next American idol! After all he does have nice hair and is fem like all the Americans. America spoke and are saying they like feminine guys!

He does need to go home. Granted he does have a nice personality but this is American Idol it's a singing competition not a Miss USA beauty pagent.

The guy cannot sing AT ALL...I read that people are voting for him just cuz he sucks though. They think its pretty funny. I think its ridiculous. HIS HAIR IS NOT COOL AND HE IS NOT HOT. my god...there are people that deserve to be there that are getting kicked off : (
