I dream about
music or mathematics
or planets too far for the eye.
I dream about
Jesus or quantum mechanics
or angels who sing lullabies.
You see when sleep sets in
history begins
But the future will win
They are in colour or black and white,
Yiddish or English
or languages not yet conceived.
They are they silent yet boisterous
I hear noises just
loud enough to be perceived.
I hear Del Shannon's "Runaway" playing
on transistor radio waves.

I just hope I don't dream about getting hit by a train again... I hate that friggin dream. I be glad when that one quits recurring.

I will probably dream about work. It's horrible. I'm always trying to do something totally impossible -- or if not work, I'm always trying to chase intruders out of my home, intruders who have been living there for years!
