Watching, to catch a predator is bitter-sweet. On one hand it's funny to see stupid criminals either try to explain inexcusable actions or admit they are both wrong for what they are doing and fans of the very same show that they are being caught on. But on the other hand it is a bit disturbing to see so many grown men going out of their way to meet up with young teenagers who they think are home along with the intentions of having sex with them. I think the show is both a wake-up call to parent and a warning to predators. But it's a warning most men don't seem to be heeding because some of the men caught on the show have seen it before. So it's bitter sweet, but hella entertaining.

We have seen Doctors, Rabbi,s, Iraqi vets, city officials, 6th grade Teachers, high school math Teachers, school Principals, company department heads, and respected men from all kinds of communities, etc. being caught in the To Catch a Predator web.

So, there is no one it seems, in any walk of life, that is immune from the temptations to contact and attempt to victimize these underage kids.
What it boils down to then is, of these "potential" predators, which of them has the strength and inner moral strength to stay away from these chat rooms and avoid the temptation that is surely there.
Those that do not, who end up on To Catch a Predator and are subsequently arrested and thrown in jail certainly are getting their just due...they deserve the punishment they get as the price they pay for their failure to resist.

It makes me wonder (sadly but, curiously), as I watch the program and it shows those production crew guys (cameramen, Producers, even the law enforcement officers who throw the pervert to the ground to arrest him), if any of them who are supposedly on the "right side of the law", are to a certain degree pedophiles or have the tendency themselves and have ever gone in to a chat room and tried (or thought about) making contact with one of those underage kids online?
It simply wouldn't surprise me to find out that they had.
I mean, when you see all the different types of family and so-called respected pillars of their community being busted...
just who in our community is without sin, even if it's the sin of thought?

Child sexual abuse is never acceptable.

good answer Sensuel. properly positioned. My opinion.....i did no longer see this device yet those childrens do no longer awaken at some point and desire to bypass out on the line and sell themselves for intercourse. Likewise, foreigners do no longer bypass to The Philippines and locate those childrens of their residences. somebody over there is putting those childrens on the line and residing off their misery. The police could desire to locate those human beings and positioned them away. in spite of the indisputable fact that, i think of the police are so corrupt that they are earning salary in this too. you will by no skill remedy this undertaking (and many others interior the Philippines) until you're taking the corruption out of the police rigidity. they are your undertaking - no longer the foreigners!

I deal with jerks all day, why would I want to watch them on television as well? I get tired of media propagandizing idiocy as a form of entertainment for the mass potatoes.

It might be more entertaining if it was "In how many pieces can you slice up a predator?"
