I'm not bulemic but every time I get stressed out or upset (about work, school, friends, whatever... NOT about body image) I think to myself, "If I could just throw up, everything would feel so much better." I feel like I carry my stress in my stomach and throwing up would get rid of it. I don't ever let myself actually do it because I don't want to start down that path. Is this totally crazy? Or is it normal? If I never actually do throw up is it really a problem?

This is not totally crazy, people react differently to stress and nausea is accually a common side effect of stress. Many people experiance nausea when they are stressed out. I'll bet that once the stress is gone the nausea goes away too. Never make yourself vomit, this causes real damage to your body, when you notice yourself getting that stressed out take yourself out or away from the situation, even if you are at work. I got some really good advice from a fellow nurse that I will share with you, even if you are at work and you find yourself extremely stressed out excuss yourself to the restroom, unless you are in a life and death situation like working in the ER or something, this will give you a few mins to take some deep breaths, wash your face off with cool water and calm down. Hope this helps!

Definately sounds like stress to me! As long as you don't throw up your food or starve yourself I don't know if it's considered belemia. But don't throw up! It won't make your problems go away! If it starts to get to you a lot, talk to a counsellor or see a doctor.
It's not crazy but maybe you need an extra hobby to take your mind off of whatever your stress is. If you don't throw up it's not a problem..but having thoughts about it could be if they kind of take over your whole thought process! As long as you DON'T throw up it should be ok, but don't let yourself get that stressed out.
Have a hot bath or go for a walk, watch a weird movie or something helpful...or talk to someone! Just don't be sick on purpose!

Sounds to me like you stay stressed a bit. Try thinking of other things to calm yourself. Try going for a brisk walk, or hanging out with friends.

Maybe you should talk to a professional that handles those types of things. I don't have a degree to help you out with that but I'm sure that somebody could get you help on that.
