Would you think the person a bit mad, merely bizarrely eccentric, or be able to take it seriously? Would you be fascinated or laugh? Remember it would look like nothing so much as a ship unable to sail.
---Please use as much imagination as you can muster (thank you)---.
(I'm not sure what would be my own reaction.)

good question!!
lets see, being a strapping young man,in the 1800's most likely I'd be working to hard on the ranch or farm.you know, the closest person to you was about 5-10 miles down the dusty trail.Today 8 ft. is the average, for sure I guess I would be interested in what he was building, then again I am not sure I would know it was a flying machine.darn thing didn't have any wheels.what could he be making??

I would think they were a few bricks shy a load. Plus they would be 50 years to early. And when I was a kid I climbed a tree with an umbrella opened it and jumped just as my aunt and uncle pulled up in their station wagon full of kids. They laughted and ribbed me for years ! hahahahaha
Oh and I didn't fly either. LOL
