I LOVE reading, and writing. And I used to be able to read perfectly fine without any problems whatsoever. Now, about a year ago, I started getting words mixed up on pages in books, misreading the sentences and stuff. I do that alot now and I don't know why. Also, I used to be able to spell really big long words, without a problem. Now I have to use spell check when typing my stories and other stuff like that. =[. I don't like this. What's wrong? I'm 15 btw.

I am sorry that you have this problem. There could be several causes. First, it would appear that you have been spending less time in reading and concentrating on reading/spelling. Possibly you have developed other interests, like in the opposite sex or in movies or sport, etc., which allow you less time than earlier for reading.
Are you going through other problems in your personal life, such as puberty (growth) related problems, peer pressure, insecurity, domestic issues, health, etc.? These might also affect your concentration.
I am sorry to ask this question, but could it be that you have taken to drugs? Or have been taken some medication on doctor's advice? Medicines and drugs of a certain type do have effect on the human brain.
From the way you have framed your question, I don't think you are much into computer chat or SMS. These fast communication facilities certainly would make one slip up on one's spelling and reading habits.
Please try to analyze if there has been any major change in your life during the past one year or so, whether these changes have affected your power of concentration, and hence on your ability to read/write spelling properly.
Maybe what you could do is to try and spend as much time as you can on reading, writing and spelling (things that you like to do), by even cutting down on some other activities. If you find concentration difficult, maybe you need to consult a doctor for advice.
It is sad to learn of your problem, particularly so when you write well, are careful in your spelling and have good analytical skills. I hope you would regain your abilities soon enough and be happy.

Sometimes eye problems can give you symptoms similar to dyslexia (reading disorders). Some have a hard time keeping the eyes on one line at a time, for example. Eye problems can appear and disappear, since you are still growing. Try to get your eyes checked, preferably by a specialist, it may be that a pair of glasses worn while reading can solve the problem.

u have probably entered new intrests like boys and social things that pull ur brain power away form ur former intrests...not that u have lost intrest in reading and writing. its just that now ur mind has to share it with othe things.

but im sure if u train ur mind to spell big words without spellcheck, u will be able to do so in no time:)

and yes i wear glasses and it helps alot too..maybe u can try that

You are probably just pushing yourself to far. I think that you might be rushing yourself when you're reading and typing. Remember that its not a race, and it doesn't matter if you read and type fast or slow, all that matters is that you do it right. Also remember to concentrate on what you're doing otherwise things like what is happening to you tend to happen. Concentration is the key and speed is unimportant.

I would definately see your doctor. and or go to a neurologist. Not good signs, but it could be something simple.
