I just got off on a 21 day period myself. I have an iron deficiency and it usually gets pretty bad on my period anyway. I was so worried, and went to the doctor and found out I had a lack of progesterone in my body. It's a hormone that they put in BC pills and that is part of what helps regulate your period. When your body realizes that the egg is not fertilized, your progesterone level drops and menstrual bleeding begins. This link will help you learn more about it if your interested.
I hope this is what you were looking for! Good luck :)

Stress can cause your menstrual cycle to be very messed or screwed up. Stress can do weird things. One time stress made me have my cycle for 3 months straight. ITs wierd and miserable.
