I have been wearing a bra since 4th grade, and hair started to grow around the same time. But my problem is that I am in 7th grade and I havent gotten my period yet. I am nervous because out of my friends who are my age, I was the 1st to start to develope, but everyone has gotten their period already.

Don't worry. Your body fat % and a lot of other elements determine when your body is ready to start menstrating. Some girls don't start until they get to high school, and that is completely normal. Don't feel bad or nervous...you'll get it when your body is ready.

I had a friend who didn't get her period until she was almost 17, and she's fine. She had boobs too. And she was nearly 6 feet tall. I don't know why it took her so long. In 7th grade, it's not that late to not have your period. Maybe if you get to high school and still don't have it you could get checked out by the gyno, but I'm sure you're fine! I know you worry because you're the only one without a period, but consider yourself lucky! The older you are when you get your period the more mature you will be, and the more able to cope with the changes and moodswings. Good luck dear!

No need to worry, not every girl is made the same. When I was your age many of my friends hadn't gotten their periods yet. It's a waiting game. Take my advice, enjoy these days of no cramps and never having to worry about a leak in the middle of the school day. If you start to worry that something may be wrong talk to a parent/guardian about going and seeing a doctor, he or she may be able to give you some more advice. Good Luck!

Everyone develops at their own rate. I wouldn't be in a hurry to experiance a period. In 7th grade you still have a few years before its a problem. Most girls get their period by the time they are 16. If you don't, talk to your mom and go to the doctor.

I didn't start until the 6th grade and I was wearing bras in the 3rd. I know several girls that didn't start until high school. Honestly, you should be happy you haven't started yet. LOL. I wish I could have started later than I did. Although if you are really concerned about it, you could always ask a gyno.

I know you said "Girls only please" but for someone reason i seem to know more about the female anatomy then i do the male (I actually failed the male test and aced the female test in school haha). You have nothing to worry about, every girl developes completely different. If it's really keeping you up i would suggest talking to you mom, it may be strange but trust me you will get use to it once you've matured and are experimenting. Comeing from a guy who has had a good amount of girlfriends, your mom is going to be your best friend when it comes to your body and it's development

Hun, I didnt have my first menstrual cycle until I was 18. My aunt was 19. All of my friends had theirs before me. I was a little concerned too. Its not too late, but if u r having problems or a discharge or odor, then your mom may need to take u in for a checkup. If u r not having anything unusual, then dont worry about it. U r just a later bloomer in that area.
I had boobs in second grade too. So, u see.....ur not the only one.....:)
Good luck hun.

Don't worry until you are seventeen or eighteen and still haven't gotten it. You're progressing normally. Eighth or ninth grade is a common time to get your period. Find out when your mom got hers or when your aunts and grandmothers got theirs. Chances are, it'll be around the same time for you as them.

Don't worry. Be grateful you haven't got "the curse"yet. I,too was a late bloomer and when it happened, I hated it & it was miserable for me. During my 20's & 30's it was fine, until my 40's and it is bad, so relax for the time being and sure enough anyday now it will happen. Good Luck .
