David Hale played 19 shifts for a total of around 12 minutes of ice time last night. He has been sidelined by a kidney disorder after the trade that kept him out of the line-up until last night (Mar 14th). He is a 6-7 on the Calgary defence depth chart.

Yes, he does play (although tonight's game is his first as a Flame). He was a regular in NJ but with the Flames' depth, he has been a spare while he learns the team's system. He likely has not been sent to the minors by the Flames because he may have to clear waivers before doing so. If he went on waivers, any team could claim him with no compensation to the Flames.

He is (apparently) on the flames roster, some places have him listed as day-to-day with a kidney problem, others have him day-to-day undisclosed. Either way, he isnt playing now.
