In my house I can walk by it several times, I also live with a tiny tornado and a huge lazy 42 year old teenager, so I kinda feel overwhelmed, I was never the neatest on my own to begin with. At someone else's house I would do it right away. Sad but true.

It's according to if i'm in a lazy mood. If i'm not in a lazy mood then i would put it in it's place the first time i walked by it.
No i would never do that in someone else's house, unless they asked me to help them clean or some thing.

I pick it up the first time by, unless I am trying to prove a point to my son. He has a tendency to step over his things instead of putting them away.

I might do it at someone else's house if I know them well. If I don't, I won't.

Before my house became so unorganized, I could never walk past anything out of place without putting it in it's right place.

I know that I rearrange incorrectly shelved books at the library.
I will arrange magazines on the rack at the library in alphabetical order, across the shelf, and in chronological order within the titles, most-recent to the oldest.

In supermarkets, I will pull something off of a shelf it doesn't belong on, and put it on the right shelf.

Crazy? Uptight? Anal?

YES, YES, and YES!

I never walk past it. And no I wouldn't do it at someone elses house. If I did I would probably never be invited back!

I can walk by it thousands of times, alas, as can every member of my little nuclear family. My parents couldn't ever walk by anything that was out of place.

Once - I can't stand mess.

But if it was at someone else's house, I'd probably wait a while longer because it's not mine to move.

A couple of times. My hubby, only once. He's very fussy. I would NEVER do it in someone else's house.
