No, president Bush is not the worst president. In fact, the president is actually more of a political icon than an actual political figure; much like Tony Blair for instance. Actually, to focus the debate on the United States, I remember reading in my "History of the American Presidency" textbook that former president Ulysses S. Grant, while an excellent military commander, was perhaps the worst president the United States has ever seen. Though I am no fan, I do feel that President Bush is often scapegoated as the reason for far more troubles than his own actions deserve credit for.

Believe it or not but there are tens of millions of Americans just like Bush. I know, it's hard to imagine that the US could survive with so many people like Bush but for most of US history people like Bush were kept out of the Presidency but some how Karl Rove slipped Bush thru the cracks. Things like that usually happen every 1000 years or so or at least I hope it will be that way.

i can't believe all of you. i think bush is defiantly not i repeat not the worse president. look at Nixon and Kennedy and Clinton. we don't need to be rude to the president that is trying his hardest to make the world a better place. i agree that he is not our best but he has gone through more stuff than any other president. he was the president during 9/11, Katrina, global warming taking affect, gay rights, war, and many more things. people don't like him because they hate the things that have or have not happen to the USA and want to blame someone and they blame the person in charge. if Mrs. Clinton or obama become president that tells you what bad country this has turned to.
