The local county sheriff's department will usually do it for around $30.00. Or you can look up "process servers" in the phone book and pay quite a bit more but it might be faster.

Are you talking about a subpoena? If you are, I don't know where you live but I live in Florida and there are agencies that do just that. Also, the Sheriff's Department will deliver some but I am not sure if that is just on criminal cases or not.

Call the county court house and ask someone there. They should be able to help you.

Yes. You can contact a process server in your area (just look in the phonebook) or usually the sheriff will do it for you. Process servers charge a fee - and sometimes the sheriff does too. It will depend on your jurisdiction.

Also, in some jurisdictions, anyone who is over 18 and not a party to the action can serve a summons as long as they fill out a proof of service. Just look at the local court website or the rules of civil procedure for more information.

I think those are delivered by police officers sometimes. Other times by aspiring lawyers.

Depends on the state I guess. Sorry I could not be of more help. I am relying mostly on a Sidney Sheldon novel so don't listen to me!
