How do I transfer music directly from my computer to an iPod?

I need to transfer music from my "shared documents" file. How do I get the music to play on my iPod? The shared documents file has all of my music that I have already downloaded. Is it even possible to transfer it to my iPod?

Open iTunes.
Plug the iPod cable into the iPod, then the USB port on the computer.
Wait a few seconds.
iTunes should now have an iPod on it's list on the the left side.
Drag the songs you want from your library into the iPod.



Did you mean from some files on your computer in the "My music" folder to the iPod?
Can't be done without something illegal.
