Very simple...No Beatles...No Hendrix. Jimi actually loved the Beatles music. I saw an interview with Paul McCartney once where he talked about going into a club in London 1967 and Jimi was playing there. He was amazed by his talent but he was really floored by the fact Jimi was playing "Sgt. Pepper Lonley Hearts club Band" song. the Beatles just released the album two days early but Jimi learned it already.

Hendrix may be "classic" but I've really never been able to stand his stuff. The Beatles are good and can be listened to in almost any setting. Definitely the Beatles.

Jimi Hendrix- Much better guitar and solos (Most guitarists would prefer)
The Beatles- Catchier and more understandable lyrics, not that jimi wrote bad songs, but they have more story... and more hits.
Much more people would prefer the beatles because most people look at the lyrics and melody, but others like me, prefer the shredding that jimi offers.
I choose jimi.

You can't really compare the two because they are extreamly different and have completly diferent styles. Personally though I like them both but I'd have to go with Beatles because I just got more into their music.
Plus I saw Paul Live a year ago. It was awesome

Hendrix all the way. I love his music. I grew up listening to it. He is an awesome guitarist. The Beatles, well, they are a little on the boring side to me.

hendrix, the beatles can sound the same in some songs, but every hendrix song is unique, he's more original

It depends on what kind of music your in the mood for at the time. I grew up listening to both and I like them both
