My children were just given two baby mollies. We have had gold fish and betas before, but never mollies. What is the best way to take care of them? i.e. food, environment, equipment, etc. Any advice would be helpful

Mollies are considered tropical type fish. Therefore, you will need to have the water temperature in the tank between 75 and 80 degrees. They eat tropical fish flake food. Just be sure not to overfeed them. You should feed them at least twice a day, but only as much as they can consume in 2 mins. As for the environment, just gravel, some plants that they like to hide in. Make sure you have a running filter, but make sure that it is on the lowest setting, or the babies could be sucked up into the filter.

Hope this helps.

Temp-78-82
ph-as long as its not crazy high or crazy low, leave it, so if its between 8.2 and 6, leave it, a stable ph is betterthan one that swings.
Tank size-Should be at least 15 gallons I believe......
Plants are always nice, low light ones are fine, esspecially hornwort if you have different sexes, it will help save some babies.
On the filter, if its an hob, put either pantyhose or a sponge filter sponge over the intake so the babies wont get sucked up

Idiot, asking "Baby wuts?" Doesn't help answer her question. Whats the point of replying if you just say: 'baby wuts?' The hell..lmao.

ANYWAY.

Why don't you call a local Petsmart and ask them for information. You can also search the 'net. One giant open encyclopedia. :) But you should've researched before you got the fish.
