Now! Some women take a while to conceive after they get off the pill and others don't. Doctors reccomend that you wait 3 months after you get off of the pill then try. So now would be best. Good Luck.

I would say come off the pill now and use condoms until nearer the time.I was on the pill for 13 years and I missed 3 pills after my 7 day break and got pregnant, but soem people can take months or years. Get the pill out of your system now then you can work out when you are ovulating etc when the time is right you can try. Good luck

You should go off the pill now and use back up methods if you DON'T want to get pg right away, like condoms or spermicides. If you don't mind getting pg right away then just go off.

There is no way to predict how long it will take to get pg, I went off the pill and didn't try for the first month, just getting my body back to norm, and then never got a period. 5 months later I was diagnosed with pcos and now I'm battling infertility. We were hoping for a July 07 baby, but you go with what you're given, and my next chance would give me a Jan 08 baby.

The reason it's tricky is the hormone in the pill is only in you for 24 hours, so some get pg immediatly because their bodies automatically go back to ovulating, whereas the effect of the pill on others lasts much longer, or they don't have as quality eggs/ovulation/sperm/implantion/lutheal cycle/mobility... a wide range of factors.

Best of luck to you!

I got pregnant almost right away, there is no way any one will know when your body will react, but remember the dr/gp saying if you miss a pill and have unprotected sex you could become pregnant so it could be a matter of weeks till you know if you do get pregnant, and can i ask why june/july are you after an Easter baby???
good luck any way

Its not always that easy to plan!!! They do say that your first month off the pill is your most fertile, but if you are young, healthy and have no reason to be concerned, then I would be inclined to stop about 3-4 months before and allow your body to settle back into its natural rhythm. This helps with dates too. Learn to recognise your bodies own signs to works out when you are ovulating, this can help ALOT.

And try not to be too disappointed if it doesn't happen just when you want it to, trying for up to a year can be normal. Then your GP might still send you away and not think there is a problem.

Try http://www.fertilityuk.org/ to help you plan a little.

You may want to get pregnant in june july but it doesn't really matter when you stop taking your pill, you wont necessarily get pregnant when you want to. Some people get pregnant instantly and others take months to conceive. I dont think you can plan it that way, if it ends up working out the way you want you are very lucky.

They say it can take months to become fertile again... I was 29 when I came of an was told up to 2 years!!! BUT, I got pregnant straight away literally.

Everyone is different. It's hard work to plan times and dates when you've been on the pill. It happens when it happens.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all just pick a convenient month! LOL I'd say, do it now. It can take a while to fall preggers even if you aren't waiting for the pill to leave your system. And if you did fall pregnant straight away, would it be that much of a problem?

well i saw this answer, and this was me a few months ago... i was on B.C for 5 years also just like you... my fiance joined the army in aug 05' and i realized there was no reason for me to be on the B.C and pay that money for it if i wasnt goin to have sex bc i wouldnt see him for a few months... well december came around and he came home on the 20th... go to figure jan came around... no period... to find out i was prgenant and conceived the baby on December 31st... :) so basically i got pregnant 4 months after i got off, but got preg the first time we had sex after i got off the pill... some people are different, some people get preg as soon as they get off cuz there hormones are messed up, and some take 3-4 years to get pregnant if they were on the pill for that many years... so my answer to you would be to get off now and try...

I had two friends who thought it would take 2-3 months to get pregnant after they got off the pill. Oops! They got pregnant right away, No waiting period. I guess its not an oops because they wanted to get pregnant. They just got pregnant sooner then they wanted to.
