I have just finished reading this book. It's about a teenage girl getting involved into the seductive world of drugs. Many times she tries quitting, but something always gets her back into it. Many things happen along the way, and it has a surprise ending. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as i did. (:

Go Ask Alice is an amazing betryal of a girl losing herself from reality. There are so many other Alices' in the world. The only way to fully understand the drug crowd is to also understand that even they too can be abused.

It's actually a true story. It's the diary of a teenage girl named Alice and how she goes from a regular run-of-the-mill teenager in the 1970's or 60's (can't remember -- it's been a long time since I read it) to a homeless drug addict. It chronicles her efforts to get clean and fit back into her old life and her inability to do so. I won't spoil the ending for you, but you really should read the book. It's written in diary form so it's a very easy read.

Go Ask Alice is a fictional account of a teen junkie in the 70s. (I think it was the 70s.) It talks about peer pressure and the need to try and fit in, followed by addiction.
While it's a good read, I would recommend something else. I really like Crank by Ellen Hopkins, which is a true story based on her daughter's experience, or Smack by Melvin Burgess. Both much better accounts of drug use and addiction, plus more modern.

A girl's decent into drug addiction and the consequences.
The title comes from the numerous drugish substances consumed in Alice in Wonderland (cakes, pills, and magic dust)
It is a memoir told from the first person.

If I remember correctly (its been several years) It is a book of diary entries by the title character. It starts in her innocence and takes you through a downward spiral of drug abuse and sex. It kept my attention when I read it.
