He said he was just making predictions but he could been lying, right? We still don't know how he predicted events so how do we know that he didn't cause them? And do you think I could turn this into a popular conspiracy theory? And can you give my question a star?...please?

He predicted them. He didn't actually cause them. I think there is something to Nostradamus' prophecies, however, because his writings are vague & difficult to decipher & are written like poetry & non-specific, I think sometimes people are grasping when they translate his verses. You can often interpret it to mean whatever you like...

I believe in psychic abilities. I don't think that these people cause things to happen, they are just able to see them coming...

Nostradamus neither predicted or caused disasters. His writing, like that of many mystics including the authors of the bible, is so vague that anyone can read into it anything they want.

If I say "Woe unto you for the earth will be rent asunder when the sunrises and the wind blows." I would be a "prophet" on the day where we had an earthquake and it was clear and windy.

Predictions. Yes. But I believe that with future sight it kinda bends as you look further and further. Like his predictions about what we refer to as WWII, very accurate. However his doomsday predictions, not so accurate. I also believe that this is also due to Discovery channel running things on Nostradamus all thru 95-99 and changing it to a different date every time. Much like the big blowout with the "Millenium Virus". Man those were definatly the days.

I think he did both, actually. The problem with his prophecies is that many are ambiguous. Whether or not this is due to outside influence remains in question, however.

If I said that aliens will come to earth, do I cause that or do I speculate the chance that they might come to earth? If it doesn't happen, did I prevent it by speaking about it?
