And why are most of them reluctant to accept any advice or constructive suggestion? And why they disband anyone who disgrees with their views relying on their numbers?

Every nation has some problems. People criticise each other all over the World, but only one nation thinks they are perfect. Why? How long will they blame it on the foreigners? And how long will they prosecute Malaysians who think differently?

It's for you to know and them to find out. I don't blame the citizens of the world to rank them as the 3rd most rude. Congratulations!

Amen to that Sarah!

On my travels to Asia - Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, there's something in Malaysia that is truly Malaysia - arrogant, rude. I'd been to Malaysia on several occasions and saw how Malaysians behaved. At most instance, they will hide all the negative news. You can't trust the Straits and Star and TV3, and at times, the citizens. They haven't changed for a decade and I guess, they will never will. They have the most suppressed media in Asia comparable with that of Singapore and China.

Again, congratulations on being the 3rd most rude in the whole darn world.

Every nation does have their own problems, just like the Malaysians do.
Every nation blames other nation when situation happens, just like the Malaysians do.
Every nation thinks differently, just like the Malaysians do.
Every nation's brought up is different, just like the Malaysians do.
And every nation take different time frame to resolve some issues, just like the Malaysians do.
Got to be fair to them. It is not that Malaysians are relectant to accept advice or constructive suggestions. Sometimes it could be the culture or the living standard that forces them not to accept it. Let's not talk about only suggestions, we as human sometime are rejecting advices and suggestions even from our close friends and family members. Agree?

Note to silly bush: Man, please correct your spelling, i am getting a headache just by reading your post. Hey, u do accept criticism don't u?

Yeah i agree that malaysians are rude. At times i think we are ruder than the koreans. Especially the service staff nowadays e.g. waitress, make-upcounter girl/boy, sales staff. They are no longer the smiling 'please buy my product' kind of people. Nowadays they give you that 'what the *%@! do u want' look.
Talking about accepting criticisms, those who thinks they are superior than others will be quick to dismiss others opinions. But hey, people's opinion differs from one another am i right? What is right for them might not be right for u and likewise. The best is not to stereotype people by their race, religion or the country they come from.

Bear: I want to clarify something with you. Theres always propagandas, saying that the goverment subsidise a lot of things. But we the people feel the pinch everyday of our lives. Being a Malay does not guarantee me any benefits, I pay for my own study fees and proud of it. Corrupted subsidised malay are only for the chosen few if u care to notice. I am one of the many average malay u meet on the streets who gets disappointed everytime the goverment decides to do something stupid, like selling our hospitals to singapore or buying billion ringgit airbus business jet when the people of johor are made poor by the recent flood. The only smiling malay in this country was only one man known to all. The rest of us sadly could only wait for the next election, hoping that our next votes will make a difference. Worst scenario is , maybe the next party would be just as bad. I will not be surprised, really.

I do not support Malaysian attitude.. But sometimes when you listen to foreigners, you destroy your culture and identity. Honestly, I do not trust Malaysians, but that's what some people and countries have to do for their own protection. For example, white USA can have nuclear weapons, but yellow Chinese cannot. What a racist advice? Why should any independent county depend on USA? I would not look up to you for that advice. How many people in other countries did CIA assassinate? So, why should we listen to you? It is good thing that some countries stand against you. US government has stopped several plans build coal power plants in several third world counties, while they have it on their motherland. If USA have the right to nuclear power without UN inspections, so do the other counties. We DO NOT NEED YOUR ADVICE. US never listen to other's criticism coming from other counties… Why don’t you talk about that?

i agree with you. most Malaysia are living in a box and cant accept critics. that is why we cant progress so fast as other country. if we critic them, this is what came across their mind
( are you telling me that i m stupid!).
If you dont open your mind and heart, you cant move on. learn to give and take, forget and forgive.
Thats my opinion

your question is the 3rd, i have seen so far asking why malaysians so narrow mind type of question.

may be the best answer is simply because this people has been living in their small country for too long.
they have never seen the world. they have never achieved anything significant in their short history. so when they can do or think of some little thing, they will always overly conceited it.

a very good example is "we are truly asia" word.
then when people ask something like, what country should they go for a vocation (let say) country A or country B "which have not thing to do with malaysia,"
you will almost guarantee to see a Malaysian come and say some thing like
"why not you go to malaysia, because we got everything and we are truly asia." !!!
dam-n it i hate that. it sound like "Malaysians is truly idiot." to me.
everyone know that every country in asia is truly asia anyway.

i am seeing a very young country with no any stand out point in their culture today, do not even have their own writing language left, a lot of discrimination history against non-muslim minority, spend most of their history under the ruled of many ancient supper power (such as siam, Khmer or the UK) doing an arrogant claims of whatever they want to, just to biased them self apart form their neighbor,
but then if somebody point out how wrong they are, they will angry and go on their stupid dirty offense mode!

"i do not think all of them do", but most of them i have seen in the here did.
it must be some thing wrong with their culture, life style and education system that rooted this kind of overly conceited and narrow type of thinking in to Malaysian people.

for the majority narrow mind malaysian in the here i recommend you to get out of your small country and see the world for the sake of the younger generation in your small country. hoping that they will be more open than you are today.

even though i am a Malaysian, but i do agree with you and Dave...i am not siding anyone, just being realistic, cause i too have come across many Malaysians (even myself at times) behaving like this. maybe it the way we are taught from small, from the school until we are grown up, the government taught us so....to me i don't blame the citizen's. I blame the government for they are the one's that's teaching the citizen's to behave in such a way.....
