ambercrombie discriminates against bigger people because they want an image that appeals to the young crowd, and therefore, does not hire them

Sadly, at A&F its against our "policy" to hire bigger people...true, the job rules don't come out and SAY that but you kind of have to be approached by an employee to have a larger chance at the job, and they don't approach bigger people. Another thing is that although our guys shirts go up to XXL, or women's shirts only go to large so there aren't really many options for some people. But the CEO Mike Jeffries apparently doesn't care to tailor the store to meet everyone's expectations...I believe if a person is positie and a hard-working they should get a chance...but I don't make the rules...

I would think that places like that would purposefully choose thinner people, and no I am not thin myself, I'm not big either but certainly would not look good in the junior hip style that they sell. I know people are not supposed to discriminate but I really think behind the scenes they do. Its probably about image, I don't know, I've never shopped there but can just imagine! An interesting question to ask nonetheless!
