What comes to your mind when you read the next statement: "Diversity, A reflection of our Nation"?

That whoever wrote this 'statement' uses very bad grammar. If this is to be the title of a piece of writing, it should be 'capitalized properly': Diversity, a Reflection of Our Nation, or Diversity, a reflection of our nation. A 'statement' should have a 'subject,' a 'verb, and an 'object' ... plus whatever other words are needed to 'connect those and make sense. The dog has a bone. Dog is the subject. Has is the verb. Bone is the object. The and a are the 'connecting words' to help it make sense.

The concept of diversity is to encourage tolerance of those who are different from ourselves. Our whole nation is made up of immigrants. Most who came here became U.S. citizens and adopted our way of life. Immigration was not divisive in the long term.

In recent times, however, the U.S. citizens seem to be expected to change their culture to make all the others feel like they never left home. People don't "melt into the pot" so much anymore. Although I have compassion for those who come here from other countries, I do not feel obligated to learn their language, religion, etc.

I am afraid that this kind of diversity will lead to major division over time.
