Imagine that this was a fair world and the Firefly 'verse continued after the movie Serenity.
Since Reaver numbers have been reduced and the Alliance has been found out (for at least one thing that is) and should no longer view River as a threat....who is someone/something you see as being a "villian" the crew faces?

Do Mal and Inara ever get together? They do, but it won't last. He'll never forgive her for being a Companion.
Do Simon and River stay with Serenity? They come and go. River will have to be recaptured so we can see all of her powers.
Who replaces Wash as pilot? I read somewhere that the plan was to bring Wash back in some way.
Does Zoe ever remarry? No.
Anything else you want to speculate about? I wonder about Mal's past. What did he do before the war and does he have a brother who is a thorn in his side?

Well, I don't know that the conflict with the Alliance is really over yet. On the contrary, I think that they may be even more out to get the whole crew because of their role in the exposure.
Besides them, there's plenty of other villans in the 'verse... people like Niska, Rance Burgess, Jubal Early, and Saffron. I don't really fear a shortage of villans.
Mal & Inara are cute, but a very unlikely couple. They are too much alike (stubborn, solidary, etc.). Plus, they both have pasts which are obviously holding them back.
I do think that Simon & River will stay with Serenity. I love how River seems to relate to the ship, and it seems like they really consider it home.
Joss implies at the end of the movie that River has a knack as a pilot; I think she'll be the replacement.
I don't think, however, that Zoe will ever remarry. I don't think she'll ever find someone that works so well with her.

Eh, I think because they are both crazily subborn, they would drag it out as long as possible before getting together. I would say they EVENTUALLY do, but it would be a long while. And it would it end up being a sudden thing too (they just snap and start going at it).

Part of me says yes, the other no. Total toss up for me.
Who replaces Wash as pilot?
Zoe.
Does Zoe ever remarry?
No, she's too tortured by Wash's death to ever remarry.
