His best voiceover performance, yes. I wouldn't call it a performance in general.
I thought he was real good in Field Of Dreams.

That's kind of cruel, given the lenght and breadth of his career. Also, that's only his voice. If you are going to just dismiss his on screen roles, I say his voice is just as great in The Lion King.
But, James puts in steller performances in tons of other films. Check out his performance in Field Of Dreams. He is great, or The Great White Hope, another fantastic performance. And you actually get to see him.

He did play an evil tyrant(very well) in Conan the Barbarian. But mentioning Field of Dreams and Lion King would be good to.

By far his best performance was Field of Dreams. The speech he gave about baseball still gives me the chills. The best role for him ever.
