I am trying to download music to a mp3 player using windows media player. what port do i plug the device into??!!!

1st what kind of mp3 player ? You want to plug your mp3 into the 2.0 USB port on the back of your PC. To transfer/sync or copy music to your mp3 it is best to use the software that came with it or download it of the net.

Ah it should hook into the USB port, if you have the correct stuff. i may be wrong.
