I hope so, cause they could really use it after St. Anger tanked. I always liked "And Justice" too, that's why I didn't mind St. Anger because they started playing fast again.
With Rick Rubin producing they have a good shot of creating a good album but most people always seem to favor the old stuff like "Puppets" or "Ride The Lightning" I personally hopr Rick R get the boys back to thier Heavy speed metal roots, remember this is the man that produced most of Slayers' early records.

In real life artists produce a few outstanding albums or individual works and a larger collection of not so great material. To suggest Metallica moves from one "...greatest ever?", to the next "...greatest ever?", leads one to query:
............................Is question source a rabid fan?
If answer was "NO", modern science demands the skull
be opened to determine if brain is actually rabid or not.

If Metallica can go back to their roots, then I might pick it up. I haven't been a fan since Justice and unless they thrash out on their new release, I won't bother... Rubin or not!
