take a pregnancy test, you can buy it at a drugstore. You might need to wait a week or 2 for it to be accurate cuz hCG levels in your pee might not be high enough to detect yet. From what you said it sounds probable you aren't pregnant, but you should find out. Before all that though, you should go get some emergency contraception pills SOON, they're most effective FIVE days after your egg has been fertilized and you can get it behind the counter at pharmacies. Since you're 17, it might be a ***** cuz you'd need a prescription. Don't get too worried, it's likely you aren't pregnant, but these measures will make that much more likely. Best of luck.

below this initial comment is some info from a web site i found.
now i am 24 i have a 5 yr old and an8 month old
please i know it may be a little wierd to talk to your parents about sex, but really you must...after all, they do know more about it than you. And if you are not mature enough to use a condom or strike up a sex conversation with your parents...then you are probably not mature enough to be having sex.
Second if you are going to have sex ALWAYS use protection . i dont care if this guy is "the love of your life" (ive had a couple in my teens) you DONOT want to have children at 17 because there goes school and the good job you will need to support a family when the time is right. and also STDS, yuck,... a guy will say he will never cheet, and some dont, and some do...and those ones bring STDS to their girlfriends....DONOT take the chance.
reality, ovulation happens about 14 days after the last period STARTED. There is a range of 3 or so days (before and after ovulation) where the woman is MOST fertile. By the time that a period is supposed to happen(14 days after ovulation), the egg is probably on its way out of the system.
You can get pregnant they day before your period SHOULD occur. You MAY think you are not pregnant if you still have your period the day after having unprotected sex but what if that isn't your period?
When the fertilized egg implants in the uterus it often times causes 'implantation bleeding' which could easily be mistaken as a normal period especially if it comes close to the expected time. However, implantation bleeding is usually spotty and darker then a normal period.
You can only get pregnant after you ovulate. Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from an ovary. This happens once monthly about two weeks after the beginning of menstruation in the average female (but you may be different). Once the egg is released, it travels down the fallopian tube where it may be fertilized by sperm within twenty-four hours of release.

DO NOT waste your money on a pregnancy test. If this happened only 4 days ago t would be too soon to tell if you were pregnant. Also, even if you are you will still probably have a period this month.
On the other hand, if he didnt ejaculate, or release any precum, then you should be okay. BUT unless you are willing to have a child, or some nasty STD, do not do anything with him or anyone else unless you are protected.

Natalie, here's the best advice I can give you - pray for the very best in this situation, then NEVER EVER EVER take such a risk again until you are married. Really.
We have been trained to believe that sex automatically equates to enduring love and commitment, or sex equals power, or ensures that we are lovable.....and that is NOT TRUE.
Here's what sex outside of a committed, loving marital relationship will do for you, (and note, you are already experiencing some of the problems):
1. Anxiety and unrealistic expectation and demand placed on a relationship that is most likely temporary.
2. Unwanted pregnancy
3. Having to consider abortion (which IS murder by the way)
4. Risk of sexually transmitted diseases, including herpes (which is not curable and can even be passed to your children if you're having an outbreak during childbirth), or AIDS, which is terminal.
5. Committing yourself to an unsatisfying relationship too soon and then finding out after the fact that Prince Charming wasn't so wonderful after all....but now you're already "committed" with all the emotional baggage that entails.
You may think I'm just another Bible-thumping prude, but let me lay this on the line for you:
I had my first sexual encounter shortly after my 18th birthday. By 19 I had an abortion (and suffered a tremendous amount of emotional and physical pain because of this). By 20 I had contracted herpes, which I am still plagued with painful and embarrassing symptoms 20plus years later. By 25 I decided to never have children because of the risks to my unborn child from the herpes. By 27 I finally learned the lesson: All the tv ads and songs and glamorous magazines geared towards teaching me how to be more sexy and desirable and how to please a man had really just lured me into deceiving myself and engaging in behavior that was not only risky, but altered my life forever.
Now I ask you - is one little orgasm or one little horny boyfriend who is only thinking of his penis instead of you WORTH ALL OF THIS? The question isn't whether these terrible things will happen to you or not, if you continue to engage in sex outside of marriage, but when they will happen and in what order. Condoms are not the protection you need.....abstinence is.
Hope everything turns out okay for you -

Hello~
I hate to tell you this, but I am sure you already know. It doesn't matter if your boyfriends penis was 1 inch or 2 inches inside you sperm can swim.
Now listen what you need to do right now is to stop stressing about it. I am telling you this only because stress can trigger your period not to come on. Allow 2 weeks if your period hasn't come on then I suggest that you take a preg. test.
If you aren't preg. then I advise you and your boyfriend to not get so carried away until both of you are protected or ready to be responsible parents!!
So lighten up on yourself for right now stop stressing ( stress can cause the body to do a lot of adnormal things)
Take care of yourself and remember to tell that boyfriend of yours to place a helmet on if he wants a ride!!

your best bet is to wait until your period, and be sure not to let it happen unprotected again! if you do miss your period, you should consider either buying your own pregnancy test or going to a clinic to be tested there. i'm sorry i don't have more a more immediate remedy for you - i know it's a horrible waiting game!

You need to settle down because stress & worry can make your period late. You shouldn't worry about it unless you're about a week late with your period.

natalie, if you get away lucky this time i hope you have learned a valuable lesson. get a pregnancy kit and use it.
you are too young for sex, BUT if you are going to continue then you need to use protection. not only against pregnancy but against s.t.d.s
the best protection is no sex........none..........and oral sex is sex kiddo! and you can get s.t.d.s from oral sex. don't let anyone tell you different!
for gosh sakes get to the doctor and talk to him/her.
use condoms! don't get talked out of that - ever! if you are going to continue having sex then make sure you have condoms, don't count on the boys to have them - they aren't the ones who are going to get pregnant!
and natalie, if you are too afraid to talk to your mum about sex, then you really are too young to be having sex.
be careful girl! its your life you are playing with when you have unprotected sex.
AIDS is very real, and very scary.....so...think! please!
