My 2 month old got his first shots yesterday (boy that was an experince) his soreness went away but he has been very sleepy today, he even slept right through one of his feedings. i tried playing with him but his eyes are very heavy is this ok, should i let him sleep?

It's normal. If it lasts through tomorrow call the Dr. Did you check to see if he has a fever? Sometimes they get fevers after their shots.

He's probably fine. Most kids feel bad for the first day or so after their shots. If he's not feeling better by tomorrow, I would take him to the doctor.

Also, they should have given you a pamplet or something similar listing warning signs for a reaction. Check that out and it should tell you what to look for.

They actually say that this is normal and a possible side effect. If he is still very sleepy a few days from now, you can consult his peditrician, or call anyway now. They get paid to answer our questions!!

I also got my first shots when I was 2 months old; it was tequila and vodka.

no you shouldn't let him sleep! go see the doctor who gave him the shot!
