I want to name my baby Jack after my grandfather, and my husbands name is daniel. He would like the baby to have his middle name. I quite like Jack norman (grandfather and father) or Jack Mitchell, any ideas how i can get jack daniel out of my husbands head?

Remind him that it is the name of a whiskey and your child could suffer in school because of it. Remember children can be very mean...

Oh what a coincidence! I have always loved the name Jack and Daniel. I thought they sounded great together until I realized that it is a big famous name for Bourbon. Including the fact that I live in the Bourbon capitol of the world! Whelp, I guess that name is out the window. Jack Mitchell is nice. Strong. As for getting Daniel out of your husbands head...you can always say 'When we have a girl, we can name her Danielle. And maybe call her Danie!' haha...like me! Just a thought! I love Jack Mitchell, though!

Let him know that Jack Daniel is an alcoholic drink, and that its not fair to your son to be stuck with that name. Have you considered two middle names?

Jack Norman Daniel
Jack Mitchell Daniel

I actually know a baby named Jack Daniel. but maybe if you can absolutly NOT change your husbands mind maybe you can name him Jackson Daniel, that way You still have the Jack part after your grandfather, but it's not necessarily Jack Daniel.

Good luck. I have a cousin that ended up being named Samuel Adam (name of a beer). Jack Daniel sounds good but it is a brand of wiskey. Jack MItchell sounds ok too.

explain to your husband that no one wants their baby named after an alcoholic drink. When i was pregnant with my second son, i wanted to name him Steven. My husband kept suggesting Tyler as a middle name and i was not going to name son that! We settled on Steven Duncan, a family name. Since you seem to really like family names I'd sit down with your husband and collect all the male first and middle names in your family: (your husband, his father and grandfathers, your father and grandfathers) Mix and match and see what you come up with. Good Luck and Congrats!

Think of another middle name to put infront of Daniel lyk Jack William Daniel, or something lyk that. Many people have more then one middle name.

Jack Daniel's is a whiskey or something. Don't let your husband name your child after a brand of heavily alcoholic drinks!

Well, think about it. He is your husband, and you already chose the first name, and that's what people will call him by. But your husband doesn't get to choose any of it? That seems kind of unfair. I think he should choose the middle name, don't ya think?

Really I don't think that your child will suffer in school over it.. I had a best friend growing up named Jim beam...We never made fun of him..... Anyways you might sugest naming your next child after him....If you have a girl name her Danelle or Dani there both great girl names.......
