Here's the breakdown...

C- Posada is a little overated, but still produces. If Posada fails you, look for a hot catcher on the waiver wire.

1B- With Teixeira you took a risk. He may give you 40-45 homeruns with 100 plus RBIs, but he may not. Fortunely he is due for a comeback.

2B- Utley was one of the best players you could have chosen at this position. Good cob. of steals and honeruns for a 2B.

SS- Furcal is an aging player wiuth his prime behind him. Look for a better SS later on with trading or waiver wire.

3B-Glaus was a nice pickup for this position. Only problem is that he is aging! He may never return to his prime.

LF- Alfonso was the best player you could have chosen for this position. Good HR and steals totals.

CF- Grady is a nice 20-20 player. He is kind of a poor man's Alfonso Soriano. If Grady goes bad, you might be able to get a nice trading price.

RF- Although Duncan only played in 90 games last year, his projected stats for a whole healthy season are 35 HR and 75 RBIs! Nice sleeper pick.

UTIL- Adrian is a nice pick-up. He could hit around 20 HRs and have 80+RBIs. If he has a big slump, take him out and insert Prince Fielder.

Bench- You have a mixed bunch of players here. Byrnes is done. Prince is amazing, but he may have a sophomore slump. Francoeur is a nice choice and he has already hit his sophomore slump. Alou and Lopez are guys that you could get a bargain for.

SP- You are loaded at this position. Peavy is a consistent top 10 pitcher every year, and he will get you a ton of SOs and wikns with the re-utilized Padres. King Felix will be crowned this season. As long as he cracks down runners on base, he will be a top performer for years to come. Verlander was a stud last season, but Detroit doubled his innings load. He might fall apart halfway through the season.

RP- Great picks here. Nathan plays for a mediocre Minnasota offense that always seems to win by one or two runs, resulting in a ton of save oppertunities for Joe Nathan. Hoffman is also a great closer pick. The only concern I have with him is his high ERA.

P- Papelbon will be a great wild-card option for this season. He will get saves in the beginning of the year and wins at the end of the year (If he stays healthy.) Santana and Capuano are two pitchers that are hit or miss canidates.

BN- Garcia is WAY past his prime, but his name is still known. You might be able to rip someone off for a better position player or pitcher. Bush is rising slowy with the Brewer organization. He has great talent, but his run support wasn't the best. But with Prince Fielder and Bill Hall and Richie Weeks all with another year of expiriwewnce under their belts-that problem should be fixed.

I'd give your team a B+. With some good trades and pick-ups, you could win your league. BTW - This is all just my opinion.

Your team looks pretty good from what I see. I'll break down by position my opinions.

C - Posada is probably the best proven catcher that is available. I would keep Ross from Cincy on your radar though. I'm pretty positive that he is on your waiver wire. Look at his numbers and when you do, think to yourself "He got that in half a season?" His avg. might leave a little to be desired, but if he learned how to be patient during offseason/spring training... might be sleeper of the year.

1B - You're set. Viable options if someone gets hurt.
2B - Elite of elite at his position.
3B - Barring injuries, you're fine here
SS - Good.
OF - You can probably afford to lose Alou. Extremely expendable when compared to your starting line up. Look into finding some SB's or a closer to take his roster spot.
SP - Hernandez and Papelbon are your two question marks here. Can Hernandez avoid getting hurt? Can Papel go the entire season moving from closer to starter, without burning out? Bush was a steal, good pick!!
RP - You only have two closers. Granted, they're both top-5 closers, but if you are going against a team that will more than likely start 3 closers, expect to lose saves every week. If you can't acquire another closer, which I highly recommend you do, look into trading Nathan and Hoffman. With the odds against you for saves every week, you could give up on saves entirely, start all starters by putting Papelbon and another RP-eligible pitcher into Nathan and Hoffman's spots. Also, you can expect to get a lot for those two.

Just something to think about. Overall, I think your team will be very competitive and have a good shot at winning it all. Good luck to you this season.

Don't listen to the guy said Sizemore isn't a starter. He's a top 10 outfielder. He's a potential 30-30 guy who will score a ton of runs.
Duncan is a decent No. 4 or 5 OF and he will be starting in left to start the season when Edmonds and Encarcion are on the injury list. Could get off to a good start. Francouer and Alou are a good mix on the bench.
I am concerned about your catching. Posada is below average. See if Pierzysnki or Lo Duca are still available.
Your SP is good and your relievers are decent.

I like that team. You have almost every category covered. You might be a little light on power hitting but not too bad. I really like Utley and Furcal I hope to get them on my team. Watch Glaus closely because he is kind of scary as your starting 3B. I would stick with this roster for a while. One piece of advice: be patient. Don't panic if you're near the bottom of the league early on.

I've learned that great pitching is overrated. You don't need Johan Santana on your team to be successful. Mediocre pitchers that win 10-13 games a year are just as good if you use them correctly.
