I"m 39 weeks pregnant (with my first)and started to have very bad cramp like pains. They come and go. I just wanted to know what it could be or is it just more pains?

You are probably about to start active labor. If they are coming and going in a pattern then you should go to the hospital. I think your ready now! Be brave and God bless you and your little one with good health.

If your 39 weeks I would suggest you go to the hospital now. You don't have wait until your water breaks. Most of the time it doesn't break on it own. I gave birth to both of my boys at 39 weeks. Good Luck and Congrats.

I would definetly call your dr. or the on-call dr. only some people have their water break, others have contractions first or the dr. actually can break it for you, if your having major contractions. Id call!!!
