My parents say I can have a party with no more than 50 kids (ugh!), and I'm thinking about 95. They are really concerned about drugs, alcohol, broken antiques and sex (things parents would be concerned about). I am in the seventh grade, and so are all the guests on my party list, so I'm not too worried about drugs or sex, but alcohol and breakage might be an issue. My parents are also concerned that the guests might invite other people who I don't want there. Does anyone have any tips on how to: 1. control my party so there are ONLY my guest and NO ONE else; and 2. convince my parents to let me have 95 kids. Please help me out!!!

Okay, first of all, you should be grateful that they are allowing you to have 50 guests. Jeepers Creepers!!!! If I even thought for a second that kids might be drinking at my house, there would be NO party. Do you realize how much trouble your parents could be in if underage kids were caught drinking at their house. You seriously need to do some rethinking!

Well I never threw any parties so have no experience with it, but I guess you could have some chaperones volunteer to guard the door, you could maybe give out signed invitations, for you can recognize your own writing, and if you didn't sign it, then they aren't allowed in.

As for going from 50-95, that is almost double. I have no clue how to convince them to let you have that many, perhaps do the one with 50 first and if all goes well and your parents are relatively happy with it, they may let you do another later on with the 95.

I don't know if any of this advice helps at all, but I saw you had no answers and wanted to attempt one.

Good luck!

I have to say sorry I can not help you out in controlling your mother and father .. they know whats best even though you think they don't .. but you are luck that they are even letting you have a party at all at your age's . and they have that right to tell you just how many can come because its their money that will feed the other kids ... best of luck to you .
