can you people give me ideas for ways to decorate my house for it to look like a masquerade party? my sweet 16 we are going to have a masquerade party at my house then we will go into the limo and drive around town, but i want my house to look really awesome and ideas? what colors, lights, etc.

I would get a parachute and put that on the ceiling going down to the floor with cool lights behind it.

depends on what kind of masquerade theme you want., An easy thing to do is to get Mardi Gras things b/c they sell them everywhere. The colors are green, purple and gold. People can dress up and It will still make sense.

Purple, green, and yellow are classic Masquerade / Mardi Gras colors. Lots of beads, masks, and everything over the top. I hope your party is amazing!

Lush curtians, velvet deeper colors like dark blues greens and reds, room for dancing, it would be cool with electric candle chandalers. Little touches like mask's on the toothpicks for the drinks, a plot or a game that goes through out the evening. That would be kind of cool.

bright lights everywhere. colors such as neon blue, neon green, hot pink, bright orange, bright yellow, etc. also, have some masks to hand out at the door, since this is a masquerade party.

string rope lights (available at target, wal-mart, wherever) around the tops of the walls and maybe intertwine them with feather boas! (p.s. when using rope lights, never use red unless you are going for a scary, halloween-y, hellish effect)
