Does being very active during your last weeks of pregnancy increase your chances of going into labor earlier than your due date or does activity level have nothing to do with when the baby is born?

Well if you are at high risk for a premature birth, they will tell you to restrict your activity because it may start labor, and it's just being on the safe side. However, it usually has no effect on when you go into labor. My friend mowed her lawn, jogged and did every chore you can think of trying to go into labor and nothing worked. When it's time, you'll go into labor.

I think being active does increase your chances of going into labor. Some women will walk alot or excersise to get the labor moving. Just recently my friend was told to quit her job or the doctor was going to put her in the hospital because being really active can bring on labor. :)

I didn't have any problems with being active with my first. My husband and I went for walks every night, plus I was having the whole nesting instinct so I was cleaning everything. I found with my second that having unprotected sex will induce labour, it was quite embarrassing to tell the nurses why I was having contractions early. Luckily they stopped. GOOD LUCK
