I am doing this invention thing for science class, where I have to invent something (please read details)?

Question

So for science class, I have to invent something, anything, that hasn't been invented before. Everybody in my grade is doing it.
The rules:
you have to make sure it has never been created before
you have to make it
IT DOESNT HAVE TO WORK, but there must be a model
and it has to be something that could actually work

i used to have a partner, and tomorrow we were going to work on our idea and stuff. but just 5 minutes i called my partner to ask her where to meet and she said "oh right, um well see heres the thing, im doing it with somebody else" than she said bye and hung up!
so i am partner-less!
i am no good at making anything, but clothes!
so i have no idea what to do, and i cant get a partner now cause everyone already has one.

please, anybody, please please help with an idea of something i could invent!
also, anything else that you could tell me that would help me!
just remember, im in middle school

I've always thought that this would be a good invention. You know when you open a soda bottle and it says that you buy 1 get 1 free on the cap, well they need to make a machine where you can put the cap in the machine and it will give you another soda for free like the cap says. I'm not sure if you can make a model of it but I just always thought it would be a cool thing to invent. Good Luck!
