i have wanted a child for as long iam i can remember but my husband said we are not ready i think hes not ready how can i help him see he will be the best dad or should i just wait i have been waiting for 3 years

You can't force him into this decision. Give him some time. Some men aren't as ready as we women are. If he's not ready, don't press the issue anymore. He'll eventually come around. All he is hearing is you pressuring him about it and of course he doesn't want one because of that too! Let it go for now...

Some men are scared of the responsibilities that being a parent involves. Sometimes because of their childhood they aren't sure if they want kids.
Do not get pregnant without his consent. You do not want to bring a child into the world that he doesn't want. That is selfish and unfair to the child.
You have to respect his feelings. Is there a reason you can't wait a while longer?
Let him know that someday you want children. If he doesn't ever want them then maybe you should separate. Maybe he just needs time.

Often people are afraid of the unknown and scarry commitment. It's funny-- once children come, they are loved and things seem to work out. BUT, never force or coerce someone into being a parent. He must be a willing partner because don't forget -- it's for life. His, yours and your children.

some people are just that way as for my self i always wanted children i have two grown children i wish they were little again they get grown too fast for the people that don't want children something must be wrong maybe their childhood

If he doesn't want kids or is not ready for them, why force him and get him to resent you? Should have discussed this before your marriage.

because they don't want them. My husband would have been a great dad but he didn't want to be one. He likes being able to jump on his motorcycle at anytime, shooting off to the ski slopes at a whim. I don't blame him.
