There has been considerable discussion abput the safety of metal bats for quite a few years. Wooden bats are only required in professional leagues , starting w the minors , but maybe your school district is ahead of the curve, so to speak !!
There are advantages w aluminum , not the least of which is a larger "sweet spot" & extra pop when the ball leaves the bat.
I owned/ran a wooden bat summer collegiate team for several years & it takes players a few days or so to adapt , but most of my guys had aspirations to play pro ball so they learned to hit w wood.
Personally it's a much better game w wood bats, but then that's just my opinion.

Maybe it's because I am older, but all players should use wooden bats. Aluminum does not display a players' true abilities, especially with the designs in play today. And if you are any good and make it to the minors or majors, wouldn't you rather be using the same equipment you are accustomed to using? Aluminum bats are flat-out dangerous at times, especially for pitchers, as well.

i respect a number of those solutions. tremendous laughs. An aluminum bat will hit the ball farther because, of the speed the ball comes off of the bat. Aluminum bats are also suggested to have a higher 'sweet spot' than a timber bat has. that's the reason they use aluminum on the decrease levels of play. for someone attending to know a thanks to play the game, you dont ought to hit the ball sturdy to make it bypass farther. everyone who has performed at more beneficial aspect or pitched at more beneficial levels can be sure this. you may jam someone with a timber bat, and the bat breaks or the ball does no longer bypass very a procedures. With an aluminum bat, that's going to nevertheless commute because of way the bats are made. Aluminum bats are made to provide the ball more beneficial 'pop'. some aluminum bats have inserts and others have compressed air. that's what provides the bat more beneficial pop. Theres always some corporation popping out with a bat that has a higher sweet spot or a more beneficial useful center to the bat. yet what that's going to come all the way down to is bat %. you should swing a timber bat alot speedier and performance more beneficial useful technique to have a sturdy hit. you may lack in both easily a kind of with a aluminum bat because the way the bat is made makes up the version.

At my high school (i believe all high schools and even colleges) you can use alluminum bats but some players use wood bats because they choose to. I reccomend using an alluminum bat especially for more power and im pretty sure you need to use a -3 bat (3 more inches than ounces. Remember to have fun.
