Can somebody help me with my sims 2?

Question

When The sims 2 was loading up, and i was about to play, it said something like "The document has crashed, it will now terminate". It keeps saying that, why?

and then it canceled out of the sims 2, & it wont let me play.

when i had sims 2 pets...........my dad accidently deleted it, but lots that came with it that already came with a family were still on my list of available lots.............and that same message appeared w/ me when i tried 2 get into them.........make sure that u r not trying 2 go into a lot that is from an accidentally deleted expansion pack...........that was my mistake
