Does anyone have any history or backround information, having to do with the weather myth, "should teperature rise while barometer fall, rains will pour upon us all.?

I don't think that's a myth at all. We often get rain when there's a warm front coming in. The warm front is being pushed by a low pressure cell, so it's warm, and it's low pressure.
