To fake a kiss onstage, you place 2 fingers on the other person's lips, dip them, and place your lips on your fingers instead, all while dipping them. This is done facing the audience in a way that it looks convincing, so obviously not facing them. It sounds a little confusing, but really easy once physically done.

Another way to fake a kiss onstage is to face away from the audience, and place your thumbs side by side on their lips. This will give the illusion that you are putting your hands on their face while you "kiss" them.

Stage kissing can be a little awkward, but it gets easier. Good luck, though!

There's nothing special about a stage kiss. A kiss is just a kiss. A stage kiss is a kiss that happens on stage.

I recommend that you don't try any tricks: just kiss him. If you fake it, the audience will know you're faking it, and they'll stop thinking about the play and they'll start thinking of you as an actor.

It doesn't hurt you to kiss him; it doesn't leave any scars or marks. You're an actor, and actors kiss people on stage all the time whom they wouldn't kiss in real life.

And if your fellow actors give you any grief, point out that this play is about sexual exploration. If you can't even fake it, you've got a lot to learn before you even do the play. A willingness to commit to the moment on stage is the reason you're playing the lead.

(You should probably avoid tongue-kissing, not because you're straight but because it always looks silly on stage. A lip-to-lip kiss actually looks more passionate.)

Right now you seemed to be worried about this becuase you are straight. The thing is, YOU are not kissing him, your character is. When in character, this shouldn't be a concern. If you become the character, it shouldn't be on your mind because it's not on your characters mind. Let the character take over. Sounds like you need more time in as this character so you become more comfortable with the character. Then again maybe its just me. Things tend to blur out when i'm in character, I forget about everyone watching or thats in the room. Try to find that place.

point kissing on the point is merely putting to pairs of lips mutually. You pretend it merely like crying or being offended. handle it merely like a hand shake. while you're uncomfortable, ask the director to describe to you and your kissee a thank you to do a point kiss which incorporates how long the kiss will final.

practice makes perfect!

ok ok......but i know this can be awkard.....basically you need to kiss him. you can't fake it and make it look good, trust me. Just realize that you are kissing him in your character and its not your personal self kissing him. The more you do it in rehearsel, the better it will look and feel more comfortable - just on stage of course!!

Do it like you mean it! If you are a girl. If you are a boy, back down, run away, and flee to Mexico, to become a nice rich merchant.
