No matter what you believe, all that exists took a very long road to come to the state it is now, to the point that humans as they exist now could never comprehend the full implications of what it took something to get to where it is now. If you believe in evolution, a single insignificant insect statistically should not exist. Not that insects themselves shouldn't exist (thats another lottery), but "that" one, that individual unique insect, statistically should never have been. Yet it IS, and therefore one should respect it, and all life, with the reverence several billion of years of evolutionary lottery deserves. Likewise, if you believe that God or Allah created everything, the amount of love, will, and design that went into the little ant, that particular individual ant, is so staggering, to carelessly crush it underfoot is a travesty. Therefore, my philosophy is that all action should be executed from an intent of compassion. If compassion is your true intent (and you have the depth of thought and care that you apply to your decision BECAUSE you are compassionate), then even if you do wrong accidentally, no one could reasonably blame you for carelessness.

1. Be good to others, help your family, friends and neighbors. Leave a legacy for the future.
2. Try not to judge others, but always measure your actions by using good judgment on yourself.
3. Be humble in all things, and exercise moderation rather than excess.
4. Learn restraint and even temperament.
5. Learn to forgive whenever possible.
6. Be prepared to defend yourself when necessary.
7. Learn not to hate.
8. Learn to tolerate.
9. Try to live by the law.
10. Guard life over death.
And ... my personal favorites:
You only go around once in life, so grab all the gusto you can.
Eat, drink and make merry, for tomorrow we may all perish.

I see life as a time to enjoy. I personally dont care about the people who die even if its me. Why? Beacuse we are going to die anyway, there is no escape, so you might as well get it over with.
