Power cycling your router and modem to see if it helps. If you have a router, unplug the power cord from both router and modem. Wait about 1 minutes, plug in the power for your modem first, wait until all the light stop flashing (your pc connectivity led may still be flashing, but it's ok), plug in the power to your router. Reboot your pc just to be sure. If that doesn't work you may need to re-sit your Network interface card on your pc.

First thing I would do is shut down the computer, and turn the power off on your comcast modem. Wait 30 seconds, turn the modem back on and then turn on your computer.

Reinstall the software you received with the modem, and go through the set up process again.

Try the good ole reboot. Take the power out of the cable modem, turn off the computer. Turn on the power to the cable modem, turn on the computer.

it's either the drivers of your ethernet adapter needs to be updated or it's a firewall issue

There should be a change at the front of your computer, that being, the area that faces you as you take advantage of it. it will be basically left of the launch hatch. turn it and attempt back.
