Should Taylor Higgs have won American Idol 2006?

I say no. I dont like Taylor. Hes weird. I think Chris Daughtry shoud have won. It really doesn't matter, since Chris is doing way better than Taylor ever will.

I say no as well. Taylor is no American Idol. I can only guess that he got the spot because he has friends that call and call and call. I don't even think the guy can sing very well. I can't believe you like the same person I do. Chris was the best and still has. Taylor will fade off in the "mystic" Thanks for the question. I voted and voted for Chris. My one request is the night I did not vote when Mandesa was on because I figure she was a sure thing. I wish I had voted for her. She also had a great voice.

When Chris Daughtry went off American Idol, I didn't want to watch the rest of the season. Chris should of won instead of Taylor. But I guess its the votes that matter. I wonder whats gonna happen this season.

It's amazing that everyone NOW thinks Chris Daughtry should have won because he has more albums selling now. WHERE WAS EVERYONE WHEN THE VOTING WAS GOING ON? IF YOU ALL LIKED HIM SO MUCH, WHY DID HE GET VOTED OFF? YOU WERE ALL TOO BUSY VOTING FOR TAYLOR!!!

Nothing against Chris Daughtry, because he IS amazing. But it's easy to say NOW, after the fact, that he should have won.

First of all Taylor HICKS shouldnt have won idol 06. I remember when they were introducing the top 24 i was on the phone with my grandma cause she loves the show and i told her when chris came on that he was my favorite and she liked ace lol. anyway Chris was my favorite from the very beginning and when he got voted off i almost died. but then for taylor to go on and win it just sucked. but now chris is showing taylor who is really the better singer. haha

You are right! I thought it was some kind of joke when Taylor stayed on week after week. It is a shame that a true talent like Chris didn't get the title. He was a sincere family man who deserved that kind of a break in life. Taylor has disappeared since last season.

Ahhh I can't stand that guy. Not to be completely shallow, but I think American Idol is about the biggest star- and in my opinion, this includes singing AND looks. Notice the ONLY successful American Idol finalists are Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and (on her way up) Katharine McPhee? They're all talented, and PRETTY girls! No one wants to hear Ruben or Fantasia or Taylor, because they aren't marketable. I remember first season the judges telling people they needed to lose a few pounds- which is honest because that's the way the industry. I think they sold out when they decided looks were no longer relevant AT ALL.

Taylor hicks....wasnt a great singer but he was fun to watch and I think that's why he got so many votes. Chris was my favorite but it doesnt matter that he didn't win, infact I believe it was a blessing for him. When you win idol you're tied into a contract with them. They get half your money for the first year or 2, and get to basically control everything you do for the first year, or 2. Chris worked his way to fame and by being voted off before winning the entire thing, he was able to go off and do his own thing, having already made a name for himself.

I really enjoyed watching Taylor Hicks, he was just so fresh, new, original, and he really enjoyed it himself. But I think that was the key, he really needs to be WATCHED to be enjoyed. Would love to see him live sometime. Like Chris Daughtry too. Thought he was great and esp. like his new song "it ain't over".. . Sometimes his rock was a little too hard for me though.
