You can't unless you are lucky. A good system will permanently lock you out. A rotten system will have a way in without the password. I had to reformat my hard-drive and re-install everything to get my computer back. Lucky for me the system board wasn't password protected as well.

Too bad you asked this question. You have now given many otherwise ignorant people information which will give them access to another's crummy computer system.

Did you forget ur password than now you must take steps to get them back. Here they are.
Restart the machine and start pressing F8 immediately.
Boot into 'Safe Mode' (it has a default administrator account).
Make yourself a new 'Administrator' level account
Reboot and log in with that. You have now made a new account. Then Log in with any valid account.
Bring up the command prompt.
Type: net user
You get a list of accounts
Type: net user Administrator *
Type: net user (any account on that list) *
It prompts for a password. Enter one, then enter it again when prompted to confirm.
Log on as 'Administrator' with your new password

You can change the password for the "guest" user in your operating system's User Account Manager.
