Haha of course, pre school cant compare to high school. Preschoolers play all day and learn alphabets, numbers and drawing. In high school, its so much more harder and you have tons of classes, that are hard subjects, with loads of work for about 7hrs a day. Its very stressful. If you have extracurricular activities after school, it would make you an extremely busy person, just like I did. I feel sleepy and get migraines almost every single school day. What I would do is sleep in some of my classes, if I could. Naps in high school are okay, but its not good especially during class time. It wont obviously improve grades, yet it wont get your grade down. All it matters is that you get your assignments done.

I guess in theory it could. More teens are now working on top of playing sports and somehow juggling homework and that can tire one out. Students are drowsy during the day and it can get nasty. I know I was in JROTC in high school and that meant that my practice for teams started at 6 am and I had to be at school at 530 in the morning. It was tiring. I wish I would have had time to sleep and rest just like in preschool because then maybe I would have been more awake during lessons and so forth.
There are also kids who are awake however who would see it as pointless and an addition to school time that is unnecessary. The argument is double sided but I can see that there should be a mandatory study hall or academic lab where students could catch up on work or sleep if they wanted. I know that many schools have an academic lab but many more don't.
Good point to bring up. :D

I think it would be a great idea, though I suppose students can nap after they eat lunch if they wanted to or had a place to do so. My husband often takes a 15 minute nap at work and he wakes up feeling refreshed, energized, and more focused. A short nap works better than a coffee break for him.

Naps might help some people, but not all. High schoolers can nap in study hall or on their lunch if they want to.

Because when we are young we want to run around and explore high school kids are too tired with life to get enough sleep.so they sleep in classes.

I think it would probably help.
But who would actually sleep? I would love to, but I would rather die than be seen sleeping in front of my whole high school class.

my high school started at 730am. and in order to get a parking space we had to be there before 7. so you could imagine when we had to get up.
if schools started at realistic times, maybe their students wouldnt be so tired and they could do better in class.
oh wait, we start so early so that our sports teams have time to practice before it gets dark. i forgot, sports comes first in school, not grades....
