Ive answered this one about 40 times this week. 1) Buy yourself a copy of Writers Market 2) Learn how to write a good query letter 3) Read through the list of agents for agents reading things of your genre 4) Check Preditors and Editors and Absolute
Write Water Cooler's Backgrounds and Bewares to make sure the agent is legit. 5) Send the query letter 6) Wait for the rejection letter. 7) Send to another agent. LEGITIMATE AGENTS DO NOT CHARGE READING FEES OR REPRESENTATION FEES. They only charge fees for copying manuscripts, mailing etc. PLEASE read some of the Resolved Questions.
