I am totally in love with my husband. So its not that. I love my family. I just have zero patients, zero motivation, zero anything lately. I dont know why. I have had a hard time sleeping. Nothing really sounds good. I dont want to go running. I dont want to watch tv. I just dont want to do much of anything. What the heck!

Oh yeah...also, last night on the way home from the market I was listening to this song and it made me cry. And no it is not that time of the month.

Oh yeah and I am going on 24. So not menopause. If it is depression, how do I talk to the doctor about it? What do I say? I dont really want anyone else to know (family or friends).

You very well could be depressed, it is hard to say. I was depressed once and I didn't even know it until months later, I have never been around anyone depressed, no one in MY family was ever depressed so I had a hard time understanding depression. Just talk to your Doctor about it, you do not have to tell anyone else, but see what your doctor thinks about it. But there are some signs that it might be depression

Definitely depression and there is no quick fix in tablet form. Speak to your doctor and tell him that you think that you have depression. Describe how you feel.
Your doctor will have seen hundreds of similar cases.
You will be surprised at how common this is. Around 20 to 25 percent of women suffer from depression.
Have a look at the link and see if you recognise any more symptoms. There are lots of sites on the web about depression I have included a link to Yahoo search results.
It does get better but there is no quick fix.

Hi Kari
Are you suffering from post-partum depression?
Maybe you should go see your doctor, it could be something chemical that is ailing you.
I can tell you this, go running and bring your metabolism up...it might help if you glucose levels are dragging you down. Also you need to watch what you eat right now, and perhaps drop any unhealthy food for awhile.
Also take a bubblebath and have a glass of wine and try and communicate the way you feel to your husband. maybe he can help be a sounding board.
But do not just fester and not address your feelings or your health might fail.
Good luck and you go girl!!

If you haven't figured it out already you are in a state of depression and may need some medication to get over the hump in your life or it is just time to find something you enjoy.
Stay away from Prozac it can just make things worse and has some nasty side effects. Talk to a therapist and find out what you need to do because well life is to short to be unhappy. God Bless and Good Luck.

Hello my name is matt and it definitely sounds like depression sometimes people get it for no apparent reason talk to a doctor openly about it they hear about it all the time and they have medicines that help too-besides what have you got to lose it will probably only get worse And I am sure others have already started to notice the difference in you already/don't worry about what anybody else thinks anyway-the ones who really care about you will understand and want you to get better

I agree with everyone else. Sounds like you're depressed. It helps to talk about things - have you tried talking to someone you can trust or writing your feelings down? I would suggest also calling your doctor and making an appointment with him. Depression isn't something you want to get out of control.

You're choosing to be depressed. Be happy!?! Happiness is a choice!?! You are responsible for your own happiness, it's not someone else's responsibility. Life's too short! A little attitude adjustment could go a very long way. Good luck!

You are depressed. See your Doctor, either meds or there are some wonderful herbal (not pot) supplements that will help. Get help now, life is precious, and far too short to waste feeling bad. God Bless You , dear.

Talk to your doctor in private, tell him everything that you put in this question
