I interviewed for a job at Red Robin and I got it! It's my first job ever I'm 16 and will be a hostest I interviewed on Thursday last week ( 6 days ago) anyway they said they would let me know this week or next week about orination because they were doing the schedular that night and would schedular me in and let me know. I was wondering if It is okay to call and check up or if I should just wait. Thanks!

Thanks, I think I might call them then tomorrow or Friday early afternoon (they get busy after 5:30) Should I just say... "Hi This is Hannah, I got a job last week and was just calling to check up and find out about oritation and starting"

Sorry about the spelling, I just had my nails done today for the first time and having to get use to typing. Normally I can spell fine, and it won't let me go back after I clicked submit which means I can not correct it.

Yes. Give them a call. People get busy with other things or messages don't relayed. They may have forgotten.

Just saw your additional details. That's fine - say it just like that. Be sure to first ask for the manager you interviewed with if he or she is available. And a big pat on the back to you for being considerate enough to call during the slow part of the day!

I would wait out the week since they said "this week OR next" then if you haven't heard by tues of next week go ahead and call and say you were just checking. It shows you pay attention to what was said but also that you ARE interested.

Congratulations! Welcome to the working world. I know about orientation not orination and I am familiar with a schedule but not a schedular but I am sure that I am a complete idiot. Red Robin is doing a great job with its product and its ability to hire.

BTW...It's not ok to call. Surely you would have known about the orientation within 6 days.

I would call it shows iniative. You would be surprised that manty managers often forget about new hires totally unless they call or someone reminds them.
