Hows this for unusual? I once landed a helicopter next to a bush where bees were swarming, they became angry and attacked the helicopter and attempted to enter. A few managed to get in before I could close the windows and I was stung a couple of times. On the positive side, the rotating blades killed hundreds of them.

I always wondered how many car accidents can be attributed to that very thing. Never happened to me, but I have almost crashed trying to kill a fly. I also wonder how many were caused by a person losing the cherry on their cigarette and were trying to stop the burning sensation in their lap. My car almost started on fire that way. I had one of those earth day grocery bags made of linnen or cotton and it caught on fire. I had to pull over and try to grab it and throw it out of my car. It was blazing!! Oh, and I was a teen at the time and my parents didn't know I was a smoker. Oops.

I was cruising down the road in summer wearing short sleeves, my arm hanging out the window a few (many?) years back, delivering pizzas and rocking to the radio when I felt something quite large hit my arm. I thought nothing of it and dropped off the pizza I had and was heading back to my car when I felt a huge pain in my side. I struggled back to the restaurant and I complained to one of my coworkers about the pain. He asked me to lift my shirt and he'd take a look (he was going through school for sports medicine) and as I did a bee fell out. The bugger had bounced off my arm and fell in my shirt stunned and when he came to he stung me.

No, I certainly have in no way been stung via a bumble bee, yet they do have stingers. and that they do have a queen too. It feels only like all different sting. a tough pinch. they say the honey bee sting hurts slightly worse than a bumble bee, yet no longer via plenty. i wish this helped.

Yes, a couple of times. I just pulled over as soon as I could & got it out. I swell up a lot if I get stung, but it doesn't affect my throat or breathing. My husband is very allergic & when it happened to him, he almost crashed his truck trying to get pulled over & out of it>

Yeah that happened to my mom and little brother. The bee got in and she freaked out and got out of the car but she left my 5 yr. old brother strapped in. She never lived it down.
